Boost Your Immunity Series Vol.8 : Natto, fermented food to boost immunity

Hello! I am Takahashi, a staff member at Suzuki Herb Laboratory.

I will be giving you information on how to have a healthy body and skin to make your everyday life more comfortable.

"Natto" has been mentioned several times in past blogs as a food that boosts immunity. Natto's health benefits are attracting a lot of attention around the world recently.

This time, I would like to introduce the power of Natto once again.

The effective ingredients in Natto

Natto bacteria can easily reach the intestines in living state, and can effectively improve the intestinal environment.
Natto also contains plenty of vitamin B2, dietary fiber and good quality protein that strengthen the mucous membrane.

Nattokinase will help your blood flow more smoothly

Nattokinase, an enzyme unique to natto, produced in the process of soybean fermentation, has the effect of dissolving blood clots that cause cerebral and myocardial infarction and helps to make the blood flow smoothly.

◆Effective! Recommended way to eat natto◆

1. Eat for dinner

The effect of Nattokinase on smoothing the flow of blood is said to last for about eight hours after eating natto. Therefore, eating natto for dinner can prevent ischemic heart disease such as cerebral infarction, which is likely to occur at night.

2. Eat 50 g a day

The recommended intake is 50 grams per day.

Since the content of a square pack of natto sold in Japanese supermarkets is 40g~50g, it is approximately one pack per day.
It has been reported to inhibit the growth of H. pylori, a cause of stomach cancer, and various other health benefits, so it is recommended to take it every day.
If you are not used to eating it, try a small amount.

3. Combine with other foods

Combine it with antioxidant-rich green onions, fiber-rich okra, and lactobacillus-rich kimchi for even greater health benefits.

4. Put in an egg yolk

Natto and egg yolks are rich in a fat called lecithin.
Lecithin is a substance that builds synapses, the keystone of nerve cells, and can improve memory and concentration.
If you eat natto with egg yolks, it is expected to have an effect on the prevention of dementia.
You can also put natto in an omelet (but it is better to cook it for a short time because it is easy to lose nattokinase when heated).

I have shared with you how to eat natto effectively, such as when and how much to eat, and how to combine with other foods.
With just a little attention to how you eat, you can get more benefits of natto.
Please try to use the methods introduced this time.
Enjoy eating Natto and boost your immune system!

Suzuki Herb Laboratory has developed products focusing on the ingredients contained in natto, which keeps the skin well moisturized.
Today I will introduce one of them.

Moisturize with natto-derived ingredients! "Natto Lotion”

I'd like to introduce the popular product "Natto Lotion" of Suzuki Herb Laboratory, which contains "polyglutamic acid", a natural moisturizing ingredient contained in the sticky substance of Natto.
Polyglutamic acid" has more than twice the moisturizing power of hyaluronic acid, and gives moisture to the skin firmly.
(By the way, purified "polyglutamic acid" does not have the stickiness and smell of natto.)
Suzuki Herb Laboratory will continue to support your healthy body and skin in the future. Thank you for reading.
